Trouble Shooting the Baha Divino Sound Processor
Batteries
1. The battery function can be related to a number of problems including: no sound, intermittent sound and crackling/buzzing.
2. When encountering such problems, check the battery function first.
3. The batteries included with the sound processor reflect our latest battery recommendation.
No Sound
1. Ensure the sound processor is turned on (the volume on/off switch should be turned past ‘0’ to ‘1’, ‘2’, or ‘3’)
2. If connected to an external sound source, ensure that Program 1 is being used
3. Try a new battery (or use a high power battery)
Faulty sound, including: weak, distorted, intermittent, or cracking sound
1. Try a new battery (or use a high power battery)
2. Adjust the volume
3. Check that the abutment is clean and correctly connected to the hexagon head of the implant – if loose the abutment should be tightened. Please see your audiologist. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TIGHTEN ABUTMENT by yourself.
4. Use Dri-Aid pack overnight to remove moisture in the microphone
5. Check that the abutment is clean and clear of any debris
Faulty sound, including: feedback or whistling sound
1. Remove hats with a brim, as they may cause feedback problems
2. Ensure that items such as eyeglasses, helmets do not come into contact with the Baha Divino housing
3. Ensure that the Baha Divino housing is not in contact with fingers, skull, or external ear
4. Adjust the volume Check that the abutment is clean and clear of any debris
